West Bridgford Ladies were well beaten by Allestree on Thursday evening under the lights at Regatta Way. Once again the Red & Black's fielded an understrength team with only nine players following two late withdrawals
Well organised and strong, Allestree raised their game from a couple of weeks ago when they could only manage a draw against Bridgford's eight players
West Bridgford competed well - as always - but this time the disadvantage in numbers and having to cover the big pitch proved too much for the home side
Allestree led by three goals at half time with Lucy Dawkins pulling a goal back during Bridgford's best spell in the second period, before the visitors increased their three goal advantage with a tap in following a rebound off the bar
This defeat puts West Bridgford right in the relegation battle with the Red & Black's requiring one point from their last two games to avoid possible relegation in their first season at the highr grade
